Després dels estudis superiors de violí i història de l’art, realitza la formació de Sonologia a l’ESMUC de Barcelona, el Curs Europeu de Composició Musical i Tecnologies (Sibelius Academy i ESMUC), prof. Luis Naón. Posteriorment, el Master de Composició i recerca a la Universitat de Paris 8 (prof. Horacio Vaggione, José Manuel López López i Anne Sédès ), DEM de Composició Electroacústica al CRD Pantin (prof. Christine Groult). Actualment és doctoranda a la Universitat de Paris 8 sota la direcció de Makis Solomos i estudiant de composició al CRR La Courneuve amb Martin Matalón. Ha rebut Master Class de D. Teruggi, Th. Blondeau i Hèctor Parra, entre altres. Les seves obres s’han presentat a diferents festivals i països: Dias de Música Electroacústica (Seia, Portugal), Multiphonies Banc d’essai-GRM (Paris), EMUfest (Roma), Festival Zeppelin (Barcelona), Concerts Phonos (Barcelona), Instituto Cervantes (Paris), Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (La Habana), Instituto Goethe (Lisboa), Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Villa Croce (Genova), Concert Sons del Sud a l’Auditori (Barcelona).

 


Mateu Malondra Flaquer
[b. 1977; Palma de Mallorca, Spain]. In 1999 Mateu Malondra moved to Barcelona where he received guitar lessons as student of Sadahiro Otani. During this period, Christian de Jong and David Padrós introduced him to composition studies. In 2004 he moved to Maastricht where he studied Bachelor and Master in Music Composition at Maastricht Conservatory under the guidance of Robert HP Platz and from where he graduated with distinction. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in guitar performing from Den Haag Royal Conservatoire where he studied as soloist and chamber music with Enno Voorhorst. As part of his composition curriculum, Malondra Flaquer, did an electronic music course with Patrick Delges and, in 2010, a residency program with Jean-Marc Sullon at Centre Henri Pousseur (Liège). In addition to his academic studies he has attended master classes with Daniel D’Adamo, Brian Ferneyhough, Beat Furrer, Wolfgang Rihm, and Edwin Roxburg. Mateu Malondra is currently a PhD candidate at Kingston University-London under the tutelage of Paul Archbold. Recently, Malondra Flaquer has been appointed artistic director of the ME_MMIX Festival in Palma de Mallorca. He has been the recipient of several grants and awards like “MusicaSacra Maastricht”, Cultural Council of East Iceland, Encontre Internacional de Compositors, Intro-insitu, Music Village 2011, Institud Ramon Llull, First price at GTM-Conservatoria Symfonieorkest, selected work at the Arditti Quartet International call for new works 2010 and 2012, finalist at the ICP 2010, selected work at Donaueschinger Musiktage-Next Generation 2011, award winner at PluralEnsemble 2012 Competition, selected composer at The BabelScores call for scores 2012, finalist at the 3rd Franco Donatoni International Meeting for Young Composers Competition, award winner at the Ecce and Riot Ensemble 2013 Call For Scores. Malondra Flaquer has had the fortune of working with musicians such as Arditti String Quartet, Bcn216, Ensemble dissonArt, Ensemble Exposé, Mdi Ensemble, GTM-Conservatoria Symfonieorkest, Studium Chorale, ICP ensemble, Imsomnio, Nexeduet, PluralEnsemble, Els Crommen, Joanna Czaj, Angelique van Durling, Svanur Vilbergsson and conductors such as Gerry Cornelius, Beat Furrer, Andrés Gomis, Yasuaki Itakura, Taco Kooistra, Hans Leenders, Fabián Panisello, Robert HP Platz, Ulrich Pöhl, Roger Redgate, José María Sánchez Verdú and Michel Tabachnik. His music has been performed in such forums as Cairo Contemporary Music Days, Dark Music Days, Donaueschinger Musiktage-Off program, Encontre Internacional de Compositors, Festival Antoni Lliteres, Festival Musica Sacra Maastricht, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, IDAF Festival, Nacht der Neuen Musik, Música del Siglo XXI en España e Hispanoamérica, Sounds New, and in such halls as L’Auditori, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Auditorio CajaSol, Conzertzaal Tilburg, Konzertsal Trossingen, Theater ann het Vrijthof, Muziekcentrum First Philips, Concertgebouw Brugge, Teatre Principal, Auditorium Bizet Dunkerque, St.Gregory’s center of Music, Senate House, Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh. His works have been broadcasted by Netherlands national Radio-4 and Concertzender.nl. Writings about Malondra’s work includes; an essay by Anemone van Zijl published at STT-Den Haag of the electro-acoustic installation Detaching/Pandemonium and a short commentary of Aankomst published at the Spanish online magazine Sul Ponticello. Recent projects included a Violin Concerto for GTM-Conservatoria Symfonieorkest and commissions for contemporary music specialist such as; Ensemble Bcn216, Sonodualis, UMS’n JIP, Discord Workshop, Takao Hyakutome Jan Gerdes, Llüisa Espigolé, Trio Atem and Sylvia Hinz-The bewitched project. Hikari Kiyama, born 14 October 1983 in Konkō, Okayama) is a Japanese contemporary music composer. Kiyama graduated from “Joto High School” in the year 2002. And also graduated from Tokyo College of Musicin 2006. The professors Minoru Miki, Beat Furrer, Louis Andriessen, Hanspeter Kyburz, Daniel Capelletti, Carlo Forlivesi, Claude Ledoux, Wim Henderickx and Luc van Hove have coached him. “The 13th Young Composers Meeting” (Jury; Louis Andriessen) composition for orkest de ereprijs (19 players), Apeldoorn (Netherlands), 2007, 1st prize. Hikari was selected to the “Heidelberger Frühling vergibt 2007“. “EDIT festival” performance by The Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag), 9th&10th June 2007. Hikari composed new piece of 20 pianos orchestra for EDIT festival in Theatherzaal Sponsored by Vb&T (Eindhoven;Netherlands). He is Finalist of “The Fifth International Jurgenson Competition for Young Composers” Moscow(Russia), 2009. He recieved “PRIX DE LA VILLE DE BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT” from CONCOURS DE COMPOSITION 2011 D’ŒUVRESPEDAGOGIQUES de la Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt. His composition for Ensemble Ictus (chamber orchestra) has world premiere in Venezia (La Biennale di Venezia 2011) (Saturday 1 October at 4:00 p.m.Teatro alle Tese ICTUS ENSEMBLE). Tana String Quartet (Musiques Nouvelles Ensemble) has world premiere his String Quartet in Ars Musica festival 2012, 7th March 2012. (Arbalestriers – Mons). Takao Hyakutome was born in Sapporo, Japan in 1984. He started his violin lessons at the age of 4 in the Murayama Violin School. From 2001 he continued with Ms. Eiko Ichikawa and with Prof. Sachika Mizuno in Tokyo until he met a violinist Maestro Roby Lakatos, with whom Takao performed concerts together in Tokyo. Maestro Lakatos recommended Takao to Prof. Dirk Verelst, who by 2003 had taken him on as a violin student at Koninklijk Vlaams Conservatorium, Antwerp, Belgium and Conservatorium Maastricht, the Netherlands, where he has obtained the Bachelor Diploma in 2006 and the Postgraduate Diploma in 2008. While he studied also composition with Prof. Wim Henderickx, he has received the Academic Master of Music Diploma with great distinction in violin at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Antwerp in 2011. During the years 2003-2004 he was the 1st violinist of Roby Lakatos Orchestra and performed numerous concerts around the Europe, including Poland, Serbia Monte-Negro. Since 2006 he is a member of the "Love2Arts Ensemble". He has a violin and harp duo "Dulcamara" with the harpist Kasia Miernik as well as the duo "Antlion" with Marimbist Karen Takaguchi, and as a member of "Landini Quartet" regularly he gives the first performances of new compositions. Takao won prizes in international competitions: Canetti International Violin Competition 2004. Cremona. Italy (special prize) 6th Music Award Maastricht 2006. Maastricht. the Netherlands (2nd prize) 3rd Henri Koch International Violin Concours 2006. Liege. Belgium (2nd prize) 12th International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music 2008. Cracow. Poland (soloist 3rd prize) 1st International Violin Solo Competition 2008, Cremona, Italy (2nd prize and special prize “Premio Luppi”) 3rd Premio "Francesco Geminiani" 2008. Verona. Italy (1st prize with mention of honour) 2nd International Violin Solo Competition 2010, Cremona, Italy (1st prize). He was a solo violinist of the Gala Concert 2005 in Conservatorium Antwerpen, performed "Tzigane" by Maurice Ravel with the Gala Concert Orchestra. In 2008 summer, he made a recording of solo violin repertoire including works by Bela Bartok and Marta Ptaszynska as well as personal interview for the Radio Kielce in Poland. Takao is devoted to contemporary music. From 2005 to 2008 he has performed regularly in annual contemporary music festival “Klanken” in the Netherlands. In summer 2005 he had a concert tour in Mallorca, Spain as a member of "Maastricht Resonance", during which he premiered "Monochrome Time I" for violin solo, the first piece written and dedicated to Takao by Kayoko Morita. In 2006, Belgium he appeared in the Japanese musical theatre “Nagomi”, which included modern dance and improvisation. During the season 2008-2009, he has worked together with the performance artist Merlin Spie in the art performance project “Josaphat”. In 2010 and 2011, he was invited to a summer course in Monthureux-le-sec, France, where not only he was appreciated by many other composers for the performance of new compositions but gave lectures on effective use of extended violin techniques in composition. In March 2011, after the successful concerts and recording sessions, Takao was assigned for cooperation with Antwerp based contemporary music ensemble, Champ d'Action and has given numbers of concerts. In 2012 summer, he has attended the International Summer Course for New Music in Darmstadt where he gave lectures on extended violin techniques as well as performances of newly written compositions. Currently Takao does research on the extended violin techniques, such as sub-harmonics which allows the violin to sound below the viola's register, and exploring the possibilities of 5 string violin, while working together with the Antwerp based contemporary music ensemble, Champ d'Action., He performs on the violin, Edoardo Marchetti, Torino, 1910, and the 5 string violin, Gauthier Louppe, Marenne, 2002.
